Rotary kiln plant operation

The feeding of the plant is done with standardized skips that contain such a mixture that a regular thermal oxidation is guaranteed. The operating temperature is 900°C in the kiln. The retention time in the is of approximately four hours. The ashes are continuously evacuated at the rear of the kiln where they drop into a container by gravity.

Once the waste has realeased all its volatiles, the gas cleaning system gets going : after a phase of post-combustion at 1000-1200°C during which the combustible components are burnt, the gases enter a the scrubbing system which can be either DRY (as under) or WET (see downloadable diagrams on both systems)

Obviously, the scrubbing system, in any case, will ensure compliance to the world's most stringent environmental laws, EC / USEPA or other
